In the course of constantly scanning well over 100 bookmakers for Sports Betting Arbitrage opportunities we are also able to regularly identify bookmaker prices that are way off the market price. They are plain and simple bookmaker mistakes.
Arbitrage isn't always possible. For example it isn't practical to bet on every outcome in, say, the outright betting of a golf tournament with over 150 competitors or a tennis tournament but if you can bet on a player at, say, 66/1 (67.0) when other bookmakers price him at 25/1 (26.0) and he has a true chance of winning of, say, 4%, then the 66/1 on offer is a true 'value' bet - a rational investment that will reap dividends if repeated over a period of time.
